A Guide for Parents and Carers
Ouch Pouch Childcare Limited is registered as childcare provider with ‘Ofsted’ and work under the guidance of the ‘National Standards for Out-of-School Care’. Our staff to child ratio is 1 to 8 for children under 8 years of age. Additional staff members will be involved in more demanding activities and outings. Each session will be staffed by either the director or deputy or both and enough play workers to meet the correct ratio’s of care. We encourage volunteers and students within the club who will be seen as extra to the staff ratio’s and are never left in a position of responsibility.
We are committed to providing a First Class service for EVERY Child, Young Person and Parent / Carer.
We intend to have a very happy, positive club where youngsters can choose their own activity with no influence from others, unless we are specifically asked to do otherwise. This is to show Mutual Trust and Undertanding in their quest to Grow and be Independant.
Parents Get Involved
Any parent or carer who wishes to be involved in the club is encouraged to do so, please speak to the Director or Manager. Similarly any parent or carer who may be able to share a particular skill or service with the children and staff will be very welcome. All staff are very approachable at ALL times.
- We are a breakfast, after school and holiday club. Breakfast, snacks and drinks are provided is included in your fees (term time). During the holidays we serve healthy and nutritious 2 course cooked meal for £SEE STAFF per child (No discounts available). Free drinks are available through any session.
- The Club is registered with Ofsted, the Environmental Health Department and meets with Fire Safety Regulations to ensure quality provision. The club is also a member of '4Children' charity . We registered with the ‘North East Lincolnshire Early Years Quality Improvement Pathway’.
- The Club offers first class quality childcare for 3 - 11 year olds, to a maximum of 24 at any one time. We welcome ALL children.
- We are an Equal Opportunity Club and Company with FULL disabled facitilities.
- We are open 50 ( sometimes 51/52 ) weeks per year just closing for weekends, Bank Holidays and Christmas period.
- The club is flexible, offering childcare provision that meets the needs and demands of the local community, at competitive prices
- All staff have a valid Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Enhanced Disclosure. They will have the appropriate experience to work with children, and either have (or be working towards) qualifications in the field of childcare. All staff go through a robust selection procedure to ensure their suitability.
- The Club is currently working towards “E.Q.I.P - Effective Quality Improvement Programme’ Quality Assurance.

The company/club have been accredited with the E.Q.I.P - Effective Quality Improvement Programme’’ Quality Assurance, which is a national accredited programme. The company/club have been awarded, both Level 1 and 2 and now working towards our Level 3.
