Describe a bit more about yourself

I’ve worked with children since September 1998 and have worked with children from newborn to 18 year olds, in a wide variety of establishments ranging from being a NANNY to nurseries, schools, colleges, children’s centres and play establishments.

I've studied on many courses and achieved many qualifications and have a very impressive Portfolio.

I set up O.P.C Ltd in June 2003. Primarily, it was set it up to provide a top quality assured play provision for the community of Springfield/surrounding areas. The business continues to grow everyday.

I enjoy working with children and everyday is never the same. It seems very strange seeing students I once taught who are now working in their chosen fields!

HOT OF THE PRESS - I’ve just bought another business for expansion into the ‘retail trade’ and the new sister company is called ‘Ouch Pouch Enterprises Limited’ – watch this space for further details in the coming months.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect the same commitment from all staff, volunteers, learners and visitors. All Staff are passionate about furthering their experiences, knowledge, refining their skills and currently attend training courses, as identified in their continuing ‘Personnel Development Plans’. All permanent staff have appraisals each school term. All staff go through a robust and vigorous check for their employment/character suitability, and have been cleared by OFSTED (where applicable) and have obtained an – Enhanced Disclosure Check from the Criminal Records Bureau (C.R.B).


In our recent OfSTED Inspection (August 2011). The inspector states ‘Overall the quality of the provision is Good.
‘The management and staff team successfully promote all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework requirements within the suitable and inclusive environment. Children are making good progress in their learning and development. The management and staff team meet children's individual needs by the good quality provision they provide. Effective partnership with parents and good working partnerships with other providers and professionals promotes an integrated, positive approach to children's care and learning. Good improvements have been made since the last inspection and the setting's appropriate system of self-evaluation is continuing to move the setting forward’. (August 2011).
