Visitors to OuchPouch

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect the same commitment from all staff, volunteers, learners and visitors.

All visitors without a prior appointment may be refused access. All I.D’s will be thoroughly checked and staff will make the necessary calls to the appropriate agencies to seek clarification. We will seek whether the person has a valid C.R.B ‘ENHANCED’ Certificate and may ask for the reference number and date of issue. All N.E.L.C personnel, who visit the setting with their badges clearly visible, have a current C.R.B, although checks may be necessary should we seek clarification. Only visitors with a genuine need to be at the setting will be allowed access. Staff will use their discretion as to whether the visitor will gain access or not. Visitors may find it helpful to fetch their current C.R.B original certificate (no copies accepted) when visiting the setting to avoid any delays.

This notice will be made available to all those in the current visitors book and at the time of appointments being made.
